Sallyportal
Rice alumni and parents can connect with students — and each other — through an online professional development hub dedicated exclusively to the Rice community.
Sallyportal allows you to seek guidance from the Rice network, volunteer as mentors, create professional development opportunities for students and alumni, and engage with campus groups and departments in one virtual location — all in the name of providing Rice students and recent graduates with the greatest possible professional edge.
Owl Edge Externship Host
Owl Edge Externships, developed in partnerships with the Initiative for Students and the Center for Career Development, are one to five-day job shadowing experiences designed to give undergraduate students a tangible, realistic idea of a day in the life in your career field. The job shadowing experience may include touring your facility, sharing your career path, observing you at staff or client meetings, interviewing other colleagues, and visiting with the human resource professional to understand career opportunities.
Gateway Practica Partner
Gateway Practica Partners serve as a sponsor for the on-site component of one of our professional practica. Our practica are focused in consulting and finance. Practica sponsors provide a structured and meaningful on-site experience that requires demonstrated application of the student’s academic skills.
Our practica are designed to provide social sciences undergraduates the opportunity to explore what careers look like while receiving the academic support of our faculty through guided research projects that directly correlate with their on-site work. Partners are asked to commit to 10 hours a week for the practica.

Athletics
Rice Athletics is always looking for volunteers to help serve in a variety of ways.
ARA Board of Directors

Applications are made in writing to the nominations committee; for more information, click on ARA Board Applications on the left menu.
