In what roles have you volunteered for Rice?

Social and Communications Chair, NYC Association of Rice Alumni, Alumni Interviewer for Prospective Students, and Rice Annual Fund Volunteer.

Why do you volunteer for Rice?

My 4 years at Rice were so impactful to my life, and volunteering is my way of paying it forward. I had been involved in student government and other initiatives while I was an undergrad, so transitioning into an alumni volunteer was a no-brainer! It is one of the most fulfilling activities that I am a part of as an adult!

What do you enjoy most about volunteering at Rice?

I love connecting with prospective and new students and reconnecting with alumni I knew as a student. Each student or alumni has such a unique pride and bond to Rice that is equally apparent and palpable no matter when you graduate/d! Volunteering allows me to relive those memories and swap stories that only Rice alumni would truly understand.

What's a fun Rice fact about you?

My parents were married in the Rice Chapel 20 years before I matriculated as a Rice undergraduate student.

Why should others volunteer for Rice?

If you want to feel all the warm fuzzies and fulfillment that you felt during your time at Rice, volunteer!
