Alumni Regional Groups
Alumni regional group volunteers provide a way for alumni and friends living outside Houston to interact with others in the Rice community and to stay connected. The Association of Rice Alumni, in conjunction with local volunteers, organizes programs and activities for alumni and friends around the nation and internationally. To join an already existing regional group, simply update your contact information in the online alumni directory and you will automatically receive event and program invitations. Please find information on all of our alumni groups below. Don’t see your region below or live internationally? Complete the volunteer application form, and a Rice staff member will be in touch with you to discuss how you can get involved.
Rice Annual Fund Volunteers are ambassadors for the university, making important connections and encouraging classmates and peers to participate in the university’s tradition of giving back.
Because alumni share a common Rice experience with their classmates, alumni volunteers are in a unique position to be facilitators between their university and their classmates to advocate for support of the Rice Annual Fund.
Volunteer positions within the Annual Fund provide several great ways to stay in touch with your classmates and peers while making a positive impact on the current student experience at Rice. Please fill out the volunteer application form linked below to learn more about this opportunity.

Homecoming & Reunion 2018 Ambassadors
Homecoming & Reunion 2018 ambassadors are comprised of alumni who are excited to reconnect with the university as well as their classmates. Ambassadors play an important role during Homecoming & Reunion by reaching out to fellow alumni to raise awareness, share plans, obtain feedback, participate in planning calls and encourage strong participation at all Homecoming & Reunion events. The length of the volunteer term will be April through Dec. 2018 and the anticipated time commitment is two to four hours per month. The tasks of ambassador volunteers will adjust depending on the time frame they join since the needs will shift as the weekend approaches.
Please click the button below, select Homecoming & Reunion Ambassador and complete the form, and our volunteer team will follow up with more information.
The Center for Career Development offers the summer internship program as a way for students to gain important experience and develop professional skills. Please fill out the volunteer application form below to be sign up or learn more.
