When did you start volunteering for Rice? How long have you been a volunteer?

I started volunteering at Rice University fall of '23. I've volunteered for two separate events since then.

Why do you volunteer for Rice?

I volunteer at Rice because I remember fondly my time there as an undergrad, and it brings me joy to give back to the Rice community.

What do you enjoy most about volunteering at Rice?

I enjoy reconnecting with the culture of Rice and the people there.

What's a fun Rice fact about you?

A fun Rice fact about me is that during my time, I, alongside classmates, started a brand-new a cappella group, Fresh. This group specialized in singing R&B, hip-hop and pop songs that were underrepresented and underexposed at Rice University at the time. We lasted for 3 years and put on 2 formal concerts each year.

What would you say to your fellow alumni/parents/friends to encourage them to volunteer for Rice?

Give back and be an influence beyond your time at Rice.
