When did you start volunteering for Rice?

I began my volunteer journey at Rice during my time as a student and have continued to actively contribute as an alumnus. It has always been a profound honor to engage in shaping the Rice experience, ensuring that it remains as enriching for future generations as it was for me. Volunteering allows me to give back to the community that played a crucial role in my personal and professional development.

In what roles have you volunteered for Rice?

Since graduation, I have embraced several volunteer roles at Rice that leverage both my professional expertise and my commitment to the university. I have served as an Associate at McMurtry College, a member of the Center for Career Development Board, participated in Faculty Senate committees, and I have conducted interviews with prospective students and facilitated collaborations between Rice and various industry partners, aiming to drive innovation and strategic partnerships.

Why do you volunteer for Rice?

Volunteering at Rice is incredibly rewarding because it allows me to contribute to providing current students with the same excellent education and campus experience that I was fortunate to have. It's a way to ensure that the university continues to thrive and evolve.

What do you enjoy most about volunteering at Rice?

What I cherish most about volunteering at Rice are the connections and friendships I forge with fellow alumni and the broader Rice community. Each volunteer opportunity is a new adventure, and creates memories with students, faculty and staff alike.
